How Soon Can I Walk On Them After Cleaning?

When I clean the carpets I give them a good wash. So, like a cotton shirt or a pair of jeans coming out of the wash, the carpet is still going to be damp.

Two reasons to be cautious when walking on freshly cleaned carpet is that:

1. It will re-soil very easily. You cannot damage the carpet by walking on it when it is wet but it will strip any soil off your feet or footware.  Like walking into wet grass with dirty shoes.  You come out with clean shoes.  Or as I say, as long as you have a clean sole you can walk on the carpet!!

2.  Be cautious walking from the carpet onto a hard surface, the dampness may make that surface slippery.  Better places to take a trip than in your own home.  Plus it hurts!!  So be careful.

While it may only take a couple of hours before the carpet is dry to the touch, I always tell clients to wait at least overnight to 24 hours before replacing furniture and resuming normal traffic.

Leave the windows open about a half inch with the heat on just so its warm. It doesn't need to be hot. If you have a small fan to circulate air, that helps. And, until its dry, I leave you with booties so you can walk around.

You'll be stylin' in you blue shoe attire. I do apologize that I do not have them for your dog or cat.
